What to Expect

You may have heard about Tony from a friend, colleague, acquaintance or family member, or have been referred by another health practitioner, but have very little understanding of what he does or how to get started. Here’s how it works:

1. Reach Out

For standard chiropractic treatments, Book Now or contact Tony.

For Neuro-rehabilitation or complex cases click here and fill out the questionnaire that best suits your issue.

2. Initial Review (Neuro-rehab/Complex)

Tony will then review your information and one of the team will be in touch, either by phone or email. He acknowledges there are many people out there that are beyond his scope to help, so he will only take you on if he feels that he might have some success. He has no interest in wasting anyone’s time or money – neither are limitless!

3. Initial Consultation (Neuro-rehab/Complex)

The initial consultation will usually take place over two separate sessions. The first session will take 1 hour; and the second session will take between 30mins to 1 hour. This is for two reasons:

  • Many complex patients are easily fatigable so splitting up the appointment ensures both that the testing is accurate and that you don’t fatigue too significantly from it.
  • It gives Tony the time to analyse the results of the testing after the first session in order to tailor more specific testing and begin administering rehabilitation program during the second session.

Session 1 will involve a brief history discussion and a suite of computerised diagnostic testing.

Session 2 will generally involve follow-up bedside testing and administration of the first part of your rehabilitation program.

4. Ongoing Rehabilitation

You will touch base regularly (weekly or fortnightly) with Tony for a short period of time (usually 6-8 weeks) to assess your progress and further your rehabilitation. He will also administer treatment where appropriate, either via hands-on therapies, or via application of low level laser therapy or other physiological therapeutic aids such as electronic muscle stimulator, TENS machine and/or nerve stimulators.

5. Progress Evaluation

After 6-12 weeks, Tony will re-do a lot of the computerised testing to gauge your progress. If your symptoms have improved/resolved and the testing reflects this you will be discharged at this point. If you have not made suitable improvements in testing or your symptoms have not improved as either you or Tony would have liked, then he will discuss whether to continue to work together or not. Again, he recognises that, despite his best efforts, he cannot help everyone.
